THERAPY
The Space
If you are experiencing anxiety, emotional exhaustion, or difficulty managing change, therapy can help you reset. Together, we will explore the patterns that keep you stuck, strengthen coping skills, and create emotional balance that supports every area of your life.
Therapy sessions are a dedicated time just for you—50 minutes of focused support following a 20-minute consultation where we explore what brings you to therapy and whether working together feels like a good fit. All appointments take place via a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform, allowing you to join from any private, distraction-free space such as your home, office, or another setting where confidentiality can be maintained.
If you are seeking therapy on your own (not referred by an organization or physician), I currently work with clients who reside in Texas or in PSYPACT-participating states: PSYPACT Map.
Who I Work With
I support adults (typically ages 27 and older) in individual therapy who are navigating different points in their personal and professional lives—from starting families, building careers, to redefining purpose in life. Each stage brings its own challenges, and therapy provides a space to sort through transitions, questions of identity, and emotional roadblocks with insight and strategy.
How Therapy Helps
We’ll work collaboratively to identify patterns, address internal barriers, and strengthen your ability to move forward with clarity and self-compassion. My approach blends:
Interpersonal Process Therapy, which focuses on how your relationships—both past and present—shape your emotional experience and patterns of interaction. By examining these dynamics, therapy can support deeper insight and more fulfilling connections
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to help you recognize and shift thought patterns that may contribute to anxiety, self-doubt, or burnout.
Narrative Therapy, which invites you to reexamine the stories you tell about yourself—stories shaped by life experience, cultural messages, or internalized beliefs—and to re-author them in ways that reflect your strengths, values, and aspirations.
Problem-Solving Therapy, to provide structured tools for navigating challenges, making decisions, and addressing obstacles in a practical, forward-focused way.
Scheduling and Session Frequency
We'll build a schedule that works for you—weekly or biweekly—based on your needs, goals, and availability. While I aim to offer flexibility, I also model the boundaries I encourage clients to set in their own lives, which means sessions are held during designated working hours.
Telehealth Logistics
All sessions are conducted through a secure video platform. You must be physically located in Texas or a PSYPACT state at the time of your appointment. To make the most of our time:
Choose a quiet, private location where you won’t be interrupted
Use headphones if possible to ensure privacy and audio clarity
Common options include home offices, private rooms, or even your parked car
Payment
Payment is due at the time of your appointment and is accepted via credit or debit card.
I do not accept insurance.
If your insurance plan includes out-of-network benefits, I can provide a superbill (itemized receipt) that you may submit for possible reimbursement. Most clients find it easiest to submit superbills monthly to their insurance provider.
Why I Do Not Work In-Network With Insurance
Not participating in insurance networks allows me to provide individualized care—without the constraints of diagnoses, session limits, or oversight by third parties that may not align with your therapeutic needs.
Common reasons many therapists choose not to be in-network include:
Greater privacy: Insurance requires a diagnosis that becomes part of your health record.
Clinical integrity: Treatment plans are based on what’s most effective for you, not what’s pre-approved by an insurer.
More inclusive care: Issues like career transitions, burnout, or relationship concerns often aren’t covered despite their impact on well-being.
Choosing Between Therapy and Coaching
Though both are collaborative and goal-oriented, coaching focuses on performance, strategy, and future goals without formal diagnosis or treatment. Therapy involves addressing psychological patterns and may include a clinical diagnosis and evidence-based interventions.
The initial consultation will help us determine which path best fits your current needs. If we determine therapy is not the right approach, I’ll offer referrals to other professionals who may be a better fit.
Let’s connect. Schedule a consultation to discuss what you’re hoping to gain from therapy and how I can support your process.
